Where to stay in Bangkok:
For those who go to Bangkok to tourism, the best area to stay is in the vicinity of Khao San Road. In this area are located the main sights of the city. Khao San Road is considered the "Mecca" of backpackers in Thailand. That's where everyone who wants some "hurly-burly" gets together. Rambuttri street is parallel to Khao San and also has movement all day, with the difference that this street has more bars, live music, is quieter and more social. If the chaos of the city is not your preference, but you intend to be very well located, look for lodging a few stations further away from the center but still in the Sukhumvit region. For those arriving in Bangkok by Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) the best way to get to the city center is by using the Airport Rail Link, a metro that takes you to the center of Bangkok in about 35 minutes.

Subway
Bangkok's subway (MRT) does not cover a large area of the city: it is only 18 stations in total. Although the subway is small, it is possible to reach some important points of the city, such as the train station (Hua Lamphong) or the Chatuchak weekend market. The subway is available from 6am to midnight.
