Getting around in Athens:


Public transport network in Athens is extensive and inexpensive. It consists of buses, metro, trolleybuses and trams. Also, additional metro extensions to the port of Piraeus are scheduled to be completed by 2017.

 

Athens have one of the most modern bus networks in Europe. The city also holds the European record for environmentally busses - more than 400 busses run on natural gas. Busses as well as electric trolleybuses operate every 15 minutes from 5am to midnight.

The pleasant Mediterranean climate of Athens give visitors the opportunity to enjoy a trip to this city during any season.
