3 days step by step itinerary to enjoy Rio
Rio de Janeiro, is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful cities in the world and one of the most visited destinations in Brazil. The city is full of wonders to be discovered. The good tourist infrastructure, the meeting of old and new, the unequaled beauty of Rio’s beaches are great reasons to visit the most famous abroad Brazilian city. We developed a route with the main sights to enjoy 3 amazing days in Rio de Janeiro.

Day 1
Get to know the wonderful city by the most famous beaches: Arpoador, Ipanema and Leblon. It’s super recommended to rent a bike and ride along the beaches, they are scattered throughout the city. The bike paths are great! You will just have to register on the site BikeRio and enjoy the ride! In the afternoon, the tip is to go to Sugarloaf Mountain, which is located in the friendly neighborhood of Urca. Be sure to climb to the top of Pão de Açúcar through the cable cars, and from there enjoy the most spectacular views of the city, made even more magnificent by the lights and colors of the sunset! We recommend the purchase tickets in advance to avoid queues and save time. After arriving from Sugar Loaf, it’s worth to rest in the hotel and plan what you will do at night. One of the options to enjoy the night in Rio is to visit the Lapa, the traditional bohemian neighborhood of the city, offering many bars and restaurants. The landscape of the neighborhood is still dominated by the Lapa Arches, which are one of the postcards of the city.
Day 2
The morning of the second day is dedicated to one of the new seven wonders of the world: Christ the Redeemer, located at the top of the Corcovado hill. You can reach the foot of the statue by little train, by car, taxi or van. We suggest you to go by the little train that goes up through the largest urban forest in the world: the Tijuca National Park, a piece of the rainforest, the tour lasts about 20 minutes. An important tip: only go to Christ if the weather is open, because sometimes when there are many clouds at the foot of the statue tourists can not see the view of the city. But if the weather is open, you will see the most beautiful spots of Rio, and the view is breathtaking! After that go to the Botanical Garden, which was created more than 200 years and it’s huge. There, you can visit the orchid house, take the classic photo in the hallway of imperial palms, see the lake with giant water lilies, walk and enjoy the nature. The next stop is the Do Amanhã Museum which is fascinating in its architecture and exposure is 90% technology and interactive. It takes visitors to a beautiful reflection on the past, present and future of humanity. Very worth it! To close the day, you can meet the neighborhood Santa Teresa, one of the most bohemian neighborhoods of Rio de Janeiro, it has a beautiful view of the city and a vast choice of bars and cozy restaurants, usually with the melody of samba as background music.
Day 3
Start the last day in Rio enjoying one of the most famous beaches: Copacabana Beach. Stroll along the Avenida Atlântica, on foot or by bike, take photo of the famous Copacabana Palace and then take a stop at the Copacabana Fort. It is worth getting in and see the view of the whole beach and the fortress guns. Inside there is the Colombo Confectionery, where you can have breakfast or lunch and enjoy the view before catching your flight back.
